Pistol match

The pistol (small-bore) varsity match was established in 1960 and has become the main focus of the inter-university pistol competitions. The match is usually shot as a 'standard pistol' course of fire: 5 shots in 150 seconds, 5 shots in 20 seconds, 5 shots in 10 seconds, each 4 times. Although now shot with .177" air pistols, it was previously shot with small-bore pistols so shots are still marked with a .22" gauge.

Below are listed the available results from the varsity matches. Older match reports and scores are available from the club archives in Elizabeth Way, the Cambridge University Library and the NRA museum library.
